Shenbakeswarar Temple, Natham Parameswara Mangalam, Kanchipuram
Shenbakeswarar Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located at Natham Parameswara Mangalam in Kanchipuram District of Tamilnadu. Natham village is located at a distance of 10 Kms from Kalpakkam in Latoor Taluk. The temple is thoroughly built with stones.





History
It is believed that the temple was built by Nripatungavarman Pallava and extensively renovated by Kulothunga Chola I and Maravarman Sundarapandiyan.





The Temple
This is an east facing Temple. Presiding Deity is called as Shenbakeswarar. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam. Usually Nandi faces Lord but here it faces opposite direction. Mother is called as Sountharyanayagi. Here importance is given to Mother. Hence, the first worship goes to Mother.





Sankaranarayana, Bhikshadana, Ganesha, Dhakshinamurthy, Lingodhbhava, Brahma, Durga and Harihara are the Koshta Idols located around the sanctum walls.





Kailasanatha, Shenbageswara, Arunachaleswara, Jagadeeshwara, Ekambaranatha, Valmikinatha and Vyagrapatheeswara Lingams can be found around the sanctum.










There are two shrines for Lord Murugan in the Temple premises. 



There are shrines for Saneeswarar, Rama, Seetha, Lakshmana and Anjaneyar in the temple premises.

The temple is located at about 80 kms from Chennai. Bus No 188 D can be taken from Chennai to reach this Temple.
